'Mardi Gras'
Well we are in a bit of disarray but its coming together mainly thanks to various bottom kicks from Pete Sparrow.
We bought the team Mardi Gras car this year and have been working to get it ship shape again. Plan is to try and get a few races in before the 24hr, and hopefully drink more beer and eat more red meat than any other team.
We dont have a name yet, I cant tell you what the car will look like as apparently we are being paid to paint it flourescent red, I have no idea of form or function and currently the car is sat in a chicken shed without half its engine. But rest assured we will have something in place soon!
So the team is as follows:
Paul Armitage- investment banker, wealthy, handsome, talented, races R500's and Radicals, beautiful girlfriend, nothing much going for him really
Anthony Burgess- chartered surveyor, wealthy, not quite so handsome, talented, won lots of Caterham stuff and knows loads of things about really old cars that most people never thought they needed to know.
Jason Shergold- airline pilot, wealthy, unbelievably desirable to women, has never raced but seems to be brilliant at everything he does, having just completed a 59 sec lap of the Indy circuit of Brands in a clapped out mk2 Golf severely depressing a F360 owner as he did so. Beautiful girlfriend, not the sort of bloke you need as a mate
Me, Nick Oak, airline pilot, not wealthy thanks to children, huge mortgage, foolish choice of 5 litre road car in £1/litre petrol environment, have a great habit of spinning off and actually the least talented of the bunch but have the best excuses.
So thats us. We are all looking forward to some good close racing, making new friends, drinking beer and watching the other cars streak away from us as we try and work out how the gears go.
